Three-Strikes Law in California

Good news, Californians! It looks like the voters have repealed the three-strikes law. This is going to mean a lot of savings for California residents.  

Now, in order to be sentenced to life in prison, all three crimes committed must qualify as being either serious or violent. No longer will someone be sentenced to life in prison for possessing drugs, or stealing a candy bar from 7-11.
